The majority of smith machines these days, have a silly 10 or 15 degree angle and they are horrible. This is a current model Precor, based on the classic Icarian line. With no angle, the tension is actually on the muscle the duration of the movement, throughout the entire rep. This machine has silky smooth linear bearings and is built like a tank.
